Art Framing for Artists
At Townsville Art & Framing, we know a painting isn't finished until it's framed, and a print isn't protected until it's mounted properly. We work with local artists to get that last step right, whether you're finishing one piece or framing a whole show.
Framing a piece you made yourself is different to framing a family photo. It needs to protect the work's value, read the way you intended it to, and hold up if it's going to be sold, exhibited or handled by someone other than you. We talk through the piece with you first, not just the frame.

Float Frames for Canvas
For painters working on canvas, a float frame lets the raw edge of the canvas show through a gap around the work, giving it a clean, gallery finish instead of a raw or stapled edge. Our Float Frame Artist Canvas range comes in 5 sizes and 3 colours on solid hoop pine stretcher bars, so you can paint straight onto a canvas that's already framing-ready, or bring us a finished piece to frame the same way.
Conservation Framing for Prints and Giclees
Limited edition prints and giclees lose value fast if they're framed with the wrong materials. We use UV-protective glass and acid-free matting and mounting, so colour doesn't fade and the print itself is never damaged by the frame around it. That matters whether the print is going on your own wall or into a buyer's hands.
Framing for Exhibitions and Sale
Getting a body of work ready for a show or a sale means consistent framing across every piece, on a deadline. Order 3 or more and we'll apply 10% off automatically, and we can talk through timing if you're working towards an opening date.
